THE Bolton City Challenge Community Fund has also recently made one-off donations to a range of local organisations.
These include £11,080 to the United Services Veterans Social Club for roof repairs, £3,233 to Halliwell Road Free Church for rewiring, and £978 to the Howcroft Inn for disabled bowling facilities.
Wolfenden Karate Club has benefited by £1,773 for equipment rental and tutor fees, while Chorley Old Road Methodist Church Community Rooms received £590 for seating, and Central Baptist Church Bowling Club got £581 for a carpet.
