A BOLTON dad is hoping thieves who stole a priceless family record will think twice and hand back at least part of their haul.
Chris Hall was horrified when he returned home from a visit to his parents on Sunday afternoon to discover his house in Rainford Street, Bradshaw had been burgled.
The patio door had been forced and the family home ransacked. Along with televisions, jewellery and cash the thieves snatched irreplaceable camcorder tapes recording the childhood of the three Hall children.
Family holidays and Christmas celebrations featuring Alexandra, aged eight, Rebecca, aged five and 15 month old Jordan were all on the five tapes and no copies exist.
"Instead of taking pictures we have been putting things on video," said Mr Hall.
"I am upset but my wife, Leigh is doubly upset."
Mr Hall believes youngsters may be responsible for the theft and is just hoping someone with a conscience will help restore the family memories.
