A SPECIAL gala charity concert will be staged at the Victoria Hall on Saturday, November 26, in aid of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
The Smithills School Senior Brass Band, triple National Youth Brass Band Champions of Great Britain and the current holders of the title, under their Musical Director Christopher Wormald, will be playing.
Their guests are the Bolton Barbershop Harmony Club, the Cottontown Chorus under the musical direction of Simon Wilson Smithills School Junior Choir who will be singing Jonah Man Jazz under conductor Diane Dunning and St Thomas C of E Primary School Choir. This choir, from Halliwell, will sing folk songs under conductor Samantha Dando.
