PAUL Gascoigne craves the limelight like a child seeking attention from grown-ups.
It's not enough for Gazza that England manager Glenn Hoddle has included him in the squad for the World Cup match against Georgia on Saturday, when many thought he should be kicked out.
Instead of keeping his head down and getting on with what he's paid to do, he courts publicity by revealing to the world's press that he is seeking counselling over the attack on Sheryl, the mother of his child.
Of course poor Gazza can explain why he has behaved badly. He thinks he is under more pressure than other players.
Funnily enough, in his haste to bare his soul to the press, Gazza did not find time to tell Sheryl he was having counselling. That does not bode well for the new, caring Gazza. It's about time he grew up.
