LOOKING for a useful present for a difficult-to-please adult? The Royal National Lifeboat Institution may have one answer.
They have just published their own cookery book, featuring the work of some of the North's best-known chefs.
A La Carte costs £8.99 and includes a wealth of meal ideas.
Included are Tandoori Spiced Mackerel by Stuart Ruscoe from Rosco's at Bury, and Filet de Boeuf Sauce Vin Rouge from Pascal Pommier at the Normandie near Bury.
There's Goosnargh Corn-fed Chicken with Leeks and Wild Mushrooms from Bolton-born Paul Heathcote, and Three Cheese Brushatta by Michael Harrison from Michael's Brasserie in Bolton.
The book makes a great present and will boost the life-saving work of the RNLI. You can buy copies from Michael's Brasserie in Crown Street, Bolton town centre.
