FIRE crews used a heat seeking camera to locate a fire in a cavity wall at the Early Learning Centre in Bolton town centre.
Staff alerted fireman after discovering smoke on the stairs at the Deansgate store at 6.30pm yesterday.
It is believed a joist was accidentally ignited by a blow torch after contractors had been been felting the roof.
Station officer Steve Carey, from Bolton Central fire station said crews had to use the heat seeking tracer to located the fire in the dividing wall between the Early Learning Centre and jewellers H Samuel.
