SIR: So it seems there is going to be a mid week National Lottery draw. How about the organisers doing something just for the punters and let the good cause money only come from the Saturday draw.
All holders of losing tickets for the Saturday draw should be able to use the tickets for the mid-week draw - a freebie - and anyone who won on the Saturday draw would have to go and buy a new ticket for the mid week draw.
The organisers will have nothing to beef about - they play with the punters' money, and the Government is doing all right in raking in more each week for doing nothing at all.
This idea is no dafter than where some of the Lottery money goes under the guise of a good cause.
