Horwich Evangelical Church is celebrating the completion of a new extension with a thanksgiving service on Saturday.
Horwich Mayor Cllr Barbara Ronson, will be a guest at the service at 7pm at the church in Wright Street.
The building project was started in July 1994, and in addition to the extension which provides a new foyer, meeting rooms and a new kitchen, the original building has been refurbished.
Mr David Arnold, one of the elders, said the church, the former Gospel Hall, has been in existence for 63 years.
The church has 60 members, and the building is in use virtually every day with ladies night on Tuesdays, bible study on Wednesday and a youth club on Friday nights. There is also a coffee morning every Friday.
Mr Arnold said the church is also considering setting up a children's club on a Thursday, primarily during the winter months.
Services are held each Sunday at 10.30am and 6pm with Sunday School and an adult bible class at 12.15pm.
Mr Arnold said everyone is welcome to attend the services, including the service of thanksgiving.
