WANDERERS Reserves went down to an injury time goal against Stoke City at Burnden last night.
Playing at home for the first time since the middle of September, Bolton struggled to find any fluency during the first half, but came back with a much better performance after the interval.
Stoke took the lead in the eighth minute, Martin Carruthers converting a spot kick awarded after he had appeared to have fallen over his own feet in the penalty area.
Bolton levelled five minutes after the interval. David Lee combined with Scott Green on the night to worm the ball inside for Scott Taylor to turn sweetly and shoot low into the net for his seventh goal of the season.
For Green, he completed an hour of his comeback game after injury and, in partnership with Taylor up front, kept City's Italian trialist from Napoli, Marco Taccola, on his toes.
Stoke winger Coffey Niarney broke away and although his shot was blocked, the ball fell to Graham Stokoe on the edge of the area and his left foot strike flew into the top corner of the net.
