SIR: May I point out some facts about what often happens in an Indian restaurant.
Some patrons of Indian restaurants think that they will have to have some drinks before they go for an Indian meal. Some of these people sometimes find an Indian restaurant a place where they can show aggravation, practise their bad abusive language and display behaviour which would bring about a nasty fight anywhere else.
Some of these people think that Indian restaurant waiters are dumb and dummies. They can say to them whatever the want and do whatever they like. If the waiters protest, then they get beaten up. The offender can run away easily. Police help comes too late. Most cases of these offences go unreported, because that would damage the reputation of the restaurant.
I think there needs to be a change of attitude about these people who provide a service to society and economy of a town which otherwise would remain dark.
