ARMED raiders who threatened a relief pub landlady and four staff with large knives, escaped with £2,000 early today.
The two robbers had entered the Golden Lion on Manchester Road, Clifton, as customers. They hid in a cupboard in the private quarters upstairs until closing time. They pounced on the landlady when she went upstairs to get her dog between 12.30 and 1am.
The men forced the landlady to open the safe and made off with the cash.
Both men are white. One is described as 5ft 6in, medium build, and wearing a black balaclava, black shoes, jeans, a dark top and pink Marigold gloves.
