A SCHOOL in of one of Bolton's socially deprived areas is providing its pupils with a "warm, secure environment" inspectors have discovered.
Johnson Fold Primary School was found by the OFSTED inspectors to be overcoming difficulties - because of the dedication of its hard-working staff.
Headteacher Mrs Angela Smith said she was pleased the OFSTED team had recognised not only the academic achievement of the school but also its success in providing for the moral and social development of pupils in contrast to recent national media criticism of some schools.
The chair of governors, Mr Richard Morgan, said he was delighted the hard work and dedication of staff had been recognised and the pupils' attainment, progress, and behaviour had been acknowledged.
