MOORLANDS Nursery School at Horwich will be showing off its new extension this weekend.
Tomorrow the nursery at Chorley New Road is holding an open day from 11am to 3pm after having completed work on the two-storey extension built on the site of a former chapel.
The open day will allow visitors to take a look at the new facilities on offer and is aimed primarily at parents of new babies and also parents of older children seeking nursery education.
The nursery run by Miss Denise Hunt, who has more than 25 years' experience in child care, opened in September 1989 and provides nursery care from babies to children just starting school. It now boasts a professional staff of 17 and is registered for up to 70 children.
Work began on the new building just after Christmas and the extra space offers a kindergarten, new fully-equipped kitchen catering for the personal needs of its young charges, office, staff room, store room and a large dance room.
The nursery is open from 7.45am to 6pm, 51 weeks of the year.
