CHEEKY Charlie the ventriloquist dummy is looking for a home after an anonymous donor presented him to an animal charity.
The PDSA (People's Dispensary for Sick Animals), which has a shop on Ridgway Gates in Bolton, is now asking for bids for the cheerful chappie to help boost its funds.
The charity is currently trying to raise £150,000 towards a new veterinary clinic in the town.
Mrs Susan Wareing, assistant manager of the PDSA shop, said: "It was a very kind donation and we hope that Charlie will help us raise some badly needed cash.
"We hope that someone will put in a generous bid for him and give him a good home!"
The PDSA has said that if the Bolton shop reaches its fundraising target it will pay £350,000 towards the new clinic.
"A clinic is des- perately needed in Bolton. "At the moment the nearest clinic is in Manchester and that is very busy," said Mrs Wareing.
The charity will be holding a fundraising Christmas fair on November 30, at the Walker Memorial Hall in Bolton.
Anyone who would like to make a bid for Charlie should call the PDSA shop on Bolton 396373 between 9am and 5pm.
