MANCHESTER City were rocked today by the resignation of manager Steve Coppell just four weeks after taking charge.
The former Crystal Palace boss announced his sensational decision at Maine Road this afternoon following medical advice.
Coppell said he has suffered from huge pressure since taking over six games ago and that he had been overwhelmed by the job.
Former Bolton manager Phil Neal will step up from assistant manager to take over as caretaker.
