BURY are hoping for a double fitness boost for tomorrow's Second Division home clash with York City.
Midfielder Lenny Johnrose and striker Rob Matthews are making a late bid to shake off injuries in time to give manager Stan Ternent extra options.
But the Shakers will still be without striker Ronnie Jepson, midfielders Gordon Armstrong and Shaun Reid and defender Andy Woodward as injury problems continue to plague the luckless Gigg Lane club.
Both Johnrose and Matthews have missed the last two games but trained yesterday and today and were having their fitness assessed after today's session.
The Shakers are determined to recapture the winning knack after a five-game spell in which they have drawn three game, lost one and won one - with a last minute goal last time out at Gigg Lane.
"I don't worry about the past because there's nothing I can do about it," said Ternent.
"We've got 30 points so far and looking to make it 33 tomorrow. But if we don't we'll talk about it on Monday and immediately start preparing for the next match. As long as the players are properly prepared for every game then we should give a good account of ourselves."
