VIMTO Bolton Association side Spring View have signed Neil Bannister as their new professional for the 1997 season. He succeeds Paul Matthews.
Bannister, aged 23, joins the club from top Northern League side Chorley where he has scored over 3,000 runs in his three seasons with them and appeared in three Abbott Ale finals at Lord's where Chorley won the prestigious cup twice.
He previously played for rivals Atherton where he scored over 1,000 runs in 1992. He has also represented the Association and Northern League at inter-league level.
