SIR: I live on Manchester Road, Kearsley, and just at the side of our houses is a large grassed area which could be ideal for children to play on. But this is not possible because this area is used by dog owners as a toilet for their pets.
'No Fouling' signs are on lamp posts at the edge of this area, but are completely ignored by the dog owners.
You cannot let your children even cross the area from school, if you don't want to be cleaning shoes.
These dog owners are completely irresponsible. Surely they know what disease this could cause, apart from the stink. But it's on our doorstep - literally at times because it's so near the grass area - and not on theirs seems to be the attitude.
Cleaning up the fouling deposited by their dogs should not be asking too much.
