LEIGH RMI face a tough task tonight as they attempt to put their faltering promotion bandwagon back on the rails against Farsley Celtic at Hilton Park.
The Railwaymen have picked up only four points out of the last 15 which has enabled tonight's visitors, along with Stocksbridge, to close the gap, while leaders Radcliffe and second-placed Lincoln have maintained their stranglehold.
RMI and Farsley have six games in hand on the two pacesetters and the Yorkshiremen are just two points adrift of Leigh which makes tonight's game a real six-pointer.
Manager Steve Waywell is forced to make changes from Saturday with Mick Charlton and Andy Burgess unavailable.
Full backs Gary Jones and Matty Weston are still injured so Kevin Booth could take over at right back in a flat back four. New signing Martin James makes his home debut alongside Dave Rydings and Tony Briffa in midfield.
Up front Waywell will perm any three from four. Steve Shaughnessy and Chris Shaw impressed at Droylsden and they will partner either Keith Evans or Chris Bermingham.
''Although the results haven't gone are way lately the signs, especially at Droylsden, are encouraging, but we have got into a habit of giving teams a start and we must learn to produce right from the kick-off,'' said Waywell.
