SHOCKED Bury students are mourning the death of a popular teenager found dead the day after his 18th birthday.
The body of Mark Edgell was discovered at his home in Turton Road, Tottington, at the weekend after a suspected overdose.
An inquest was scheduled to open in Rochdale today.
Mark was an A-level student at the Stand centre of Bury College where he was popular and well-liked. It is believed fellow students have been offered counselling.
A spokeswoman for Bury College said: "We are very shocked and saddened by Mark's death.
"He was a well-liked student who was making good academic progress in his A-level subjects."
The family was too upset to talk about the tragedy. Police say the death is not suspicious.
