A BOLTON college appears in the top 25pc of further education centres in the country.
The introduction of performance indicators has resulted in the South College on Lever Edge Lane, Bolton, notching up the best A level results of any college in Bolton. Principal Roy Whittle said the introduction of indicators has resulted in an increased demand for places at South College since its results appeared in the press.
"Young people attending Bolton schools are more aware of the successes of students at South College and they have elected to come to us.
"The calibre of young people joining South College is such that we hope to improve upon these results in the coming years."
