THE curtain will go up at the new multi-million pound Warner Village Cinema in Horwich in less than 12 months. Construction on the Red Moss site is well under way and cinema bosses say they are on target for a January 1998 opening. The 12 screen cinema which will boast a total of 2,600 seats will be one of the Warner's largest in the country.
It is one of the major developments to make up the Sports Village adjacent to Bolton Wanderer's new Horwich home.
A spokesman for Warner Village Cinema said the firm was delighted to be creating a stronger foothold in the North West.
And she added that they would celebrate the opening of their new cinema with a star-studded spectacular.
Warner Village Cinemas already has a 12 screen cinema at Pilsworth in Bury with more than 4,000 seats which claims to attract more movie-goers than anywhere else outside London.
