SCOTT Taylor put his name in the frame for England Under-21 reckoning with a half-hour Italian job in Genoa.
The Bolton striker won his first representative honour helping the Football League's U-21s to come from behind to draw 1-1 with their Italian counterparts.
Taylor figured in a late rally that rescued the game which put Nationwide players under the spotlight of England Under-21 boss Peter Taylor and FA technical adviser Jimmy Armfield.
The English, managed by Huddersfield boss Brian Horton, survived a shaky start and came back strongly, Charlton's Shaun Newton cancelling out Allessio Pirri's first half goal three minutes after accompanying Taylor in a double substitution.
