HELP The Aged are calling for Golf Clubs across the North West to swing into action by signing up for the Unisys Help The Aged Club Championship which aims to raise over £45,000 for the Charity this year.
The winning golfer from every club that donates at least £100 to Help The Aged will play in the Unisys Regional Final at Royal Lytham St Annes Golf Club on August 14, with a chance to play in the National Final at the Belfry on September 24. The Charity needs more golf clubs to enter to beat last year's target of £35,000, of which £6,000 was raised by Clubs in the North West. Clubs are invited to run a qualifying competition before August, with each competitor playing only a £2 or £3 entry fee donated to the charity. The proceeds from this national event will go towards Help The Aged projects which bring independence, security and peace of mind to older people in need across the UK.
Budding Belfry finalists can contact Kelly Blaney, Help The Aged's Special Events Organiser on Tel: 0171 253 2926 or Fax: 0171 608 3911.
