PARTNERSHIP is the key to operating a successful night-time economy in Bolton, according to town centre manager Maria Appleton.
She believes that strong and supportive links between Bolton Council, pub operators, the police and the magistrates can make a busy town centre night-life a safe and successful operation.
Mrs Appleton said: "Working together we can make the place safe and attractive at night time.
"The Evening Economy Forum is considering a series of options that can make it work such as late night transport, a door registration scheme, radio network between premises and more CCTV cameras."
She added: "If the application for a licence is given the go ahead it will create a nice venue for Bolton.
"I'm sure everyone would agree that the site at Nelson Square definitely needs some positive improvements."
