A BOLTON teenager was mugged by a thug minutes after buying his birthday present from a town centre store.
Anthony Lancelott, aged 14, was confronted by the thief as he walked home after buying himself a new football shirt with his birthday money.
The thug threatened the teenager before running away with a bag which contained his Glasgow Rangers shirt.
Anthony, of Balcary Grove, Heaton, was not injured and raised the alarm at the police station.
The Smithills schoolboy was mugged on Monday the day after his birthday. He was walking past Trinity Street train station when the thug confronted him. He theatened the boy when he refused to hand over his bag, then pushed him aside before snatching the shirt and running away.
The thief is aged about 17, 5ft 8ins tall with dark brown hair, wearing a black bubble jacket, blue jeans and trainers.
