SIR: I refer to the letter from L Cheatle about Bolton Wanderers Football Book which was 70 years old. I think my husband has a very old one of his belonging to his father, Thomas Heveran. Items in it go back to 1800 or earlier. I think that the book must have gone through the Second World War with my husband. The books shows land at Wembley before it was built and Bolton land where Burnden Park is now.
Talking of Burnden Park, my adopted son, Steven, is mentally handicapped and Nat Lofthouse got him two photographs, one of John McGinlay and one of himself. Steven fell in love with cuttings about Nat. Steven also loves the way Nat Lofthouse remembers his wife's death every year in your paper. Steven also loves John McGinlay's playing. Football is a very big part of his life because, as he is handicapped, he can't get out like normal children
