ANGLICANS from Bolton will cross the Pennines next month for York Minster's biggest ever service.
Churchgoers from St Augustine's, Tonge Moor, will attend the minster on Saturday, May 17, for a celebration of a Festival Eucharist.
The Bishop of Beverley, the Rt Rev John Gaisford, will lead the celebrations.
The theme for the midday Eucharist is "Fan the Flames - A Celebration of Pentecost." The service marks not only the Eve of the Feast of Pentecost but also reflects the increasing numbers of traditionalist Anglicans.
