UNHAPPY Nathan Blake remains undecided about his international future after seeing Bobby Gould get off scot-free in the race row that rocked Welsh football.
Wanderers boss Colin Todd has advised Blake to reconsider his earlier insistence that he will never play for Wales while Gould is in charge but the player's agent has suggested he should stick by his guns.
The Burnden striker says he will decide for himself but despite assurances the episode will not damage his international prospects, there seems little doubt he feels justice was not done at the FA of Wales' committee meeting yesterday.
Blake admitted: "I am not really surprised about the FAW's decision as there are no black people on the board, so nobody will be against Bobby Gould or know what it feels like.
"But I find their decision a bit hypocritical. The easiest way to get out of a situation like this is to apologise hands down, like Bobby Gould has done, and say you didn't mean it."
Blake accused Gould of making disparaging remarks about Dutch striker Pierre Van Hooijdonk, then revealed that while handing out training-ground bibs the manager had quipped that he would "play for the blacks".
But the FAW accepted their manager's explanation that his remarks were not intended to be disparaging.
FAW secretary David Collins said: "I don't know whether Nathan Blake has accepted Bobby Gould's apology because he hasn't corresponded with the FA of Wales at all in this matter.
"But I think the FAW has handled the matter well."
