COLIN Todd has asked his Champions to show their Premiership class in tomorrow's derby duel at Oldham.
The Burnden boss says his players should be relaxed and uninhibited as they step up their bid for the unique double century of 100 points and 100 league goals.
But he warned today: "We can't afford to let our standards slip. If we dwell on the ball we could have problems but if we move it as we know we can we'll be all right."
Todd, who will check on John McGinlay's fitness before naming his side, hasn't been distracted by Oldham boss Neil Warnock's announcement that the Latics are already relegated - even though they still have a mathematical chance of surviving.
"I think that's Neil trying a bit of psychology," he suggested.
"From our point of view we couldn't have a better game to get our teeth into.
"We're going to have a big following of our own fans and we still have the twin targets to go for. We want to finish on a high note by winning our three remaining games and I see no reason why we shouldn't do it."
McGinlay, who missed Saturday's 4-0 victory over Oxford, trained for the first time yesterday and has an outside chance of being fit for the Oldham trip. But skipper Gudni Bergsson, also back in training after missing five games with a calf injury, will not be risked.
Oldham, whose survival hopes have been blighted by a disastrous return of just four points from their last seven games, have been hit further by the loss of skipper and centre-back Craig Fleming, who is suspended.
Midfielder Lee Richardson and player-coach Andy Ritchie are also ruled out through injury.
The Latics have been in the bottom three virtually all season and manager Neil Warnock conceded defeat in the fight to avoid the drop after their 2-0 defeat at Barnsley on Tuesday.
"Forget the mathematics," he said. "I'm a straight-talking Yorkshireman and we're down."
