SIR: How public-spirited, not to say almost noble, of Mrs D Perry to rush to the defence of the ill-used Labour Candidate for Bolton North East.
There he was, quietly plodding his gentlemanly way through his New Labour present, having thoroughly buried for ever, his Old Labour past, and then almost literally from out of the Blue someone disinters one or two skeletons.
Hitting Beloit the belt one could say. How gratifying to see Mrs D Perry, fair-minded and impartial even at one time prepared to listen to the arguments of the man responsible for such a grievous assault upon Mr Crausby.
