DARWEN-based Wolstenholme International has won the prestigious Queen's Award for Export.

The company is a subsidiary of Wolstenholme Rink, the company run by Bolton brothers Paul and Tony Rink.

Today's award recognises Wolstenholme International's sustained export growth over the last three years.

Managers also had to show how the company had organised its sales, marketing and operational activitities to support its export business.

This included the establishment of a number of offices around the world.

Paul Rink, chief executive of Wolstenholme International, said: "We are delighted to have received a Queen's Award and it is a tribute to the work of everybody in the company that we have been recognised in this way."
