A CRIME plagued school has been hit by vandals again.
Last night thieves stole thousands of pounds worth of equipment from Highfield CP School, Farnworth.
They got away with a brand new computer, part of the head's secretary's computer, a microwave and toaster.
They also tried to force their way into the safe and wrecked it in the process.z
Furious head teacher Janet Woods stormed: "At the moment the children are saving up vouchers towards buying a new computer and these people come in here and steal the one's we have.
"This morning at assembly the children were sickened by the news and their parents are devastated.
"I feel we are being targeted and it's just not fair on the school."
She added: "To think there is somebody sitting at home playing on a computer that doesn't belong to them."
Last month vandals caused thousands of pounds worth of damage during an orgy of destruction.
The school is undergoing a half a million pound extension and mindless vandals wrecked the building work that had already been done.
They wrecked a £10,000 dumper machine, knocked over brickwork, damaged locks on cabins, and poured 40 gallons of diesel around the outside of the school.
Mrs Woods said: "I was on holiday when they wrecked the building work. I came back to that and now we have this on top. It just makes you despair."
Last year the school spent more than £5,000 repairing broken windows and replacing equipment.
And earlier this year the school was hit by thieves who plundered leading from the roof.
