SIR: After reading the letter in the paper last week concerning the trouble with the youths in Wolfenden Street, 1 would like to support the writer of that letter.
I have in the past brought up three children without any problems. But now my fourth and youngest child is afraid to play out. I live 50 yards away from the place where they congregate and you cannot hear your own television set on some nights.
I feel very sad that an old lady has had to uproot herself and her belongings because the police do not do anything about it. Most of the youths do not even live anywhere near Wolfenden Street. cars come and go all evening with music on full blast. I ask myself if there is a solution to the problem. If so, what?
Other residents have rung in with registration numbers of the cars, but to no avail. The police do not move them on. I am also a user of the centre that has been in the news over the senseless vandalisation of the new Community Hall. I ask myself, why?
A very angry resident
