MANY people are interested in tracing their family history, and help is at hand.
Next Monday, April 28, Bolton Borough Archivist Kevan Campbell and his staff are putting on a 'Family Tree Day', with a special display of records, national and local, in the Local Studies Searchroom at Bolton Central Library.
Library staff and members of Bolton and District Family History Society will be on hand to offer help and advice.
The display will be open from 11am until 7pm, and at 7.15pm, in the Library Lecture Theatre, the Family History Society is putting on a free film show 'Old Bolton and Boltonians' by Dick West, preceded by a short talk by Rita Greenwood on the purpose and work of the local Family History Society.
Family history books, Bolton Records and Michro Fiche will be on sale in the Lecture Theatre Lobby from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.
For further details ring Barry Mills or Julie Lamar on Bolton 522311, Ext. 2179.
