Little Lever scored an impressive win in the annual Lansdale Trophy match against Central Lancs League side Radcliffe.
They shrugged off the loss of Jason Whitaker and Tony Settle, who have joined the Association pro ranks, with good performances from newcomers Nazeed Din and Jason Voros.
Din, from Crompton, picked up four wickets for 30 runs as Radcliffe were restricted to 205-9 then Australian Voros hit an unbeaten 64 in Little Lever's five wicket win.
Association side Golborne came safely through the first round of the Abbot Ale National Knockout after beating Cheshire County League side Cheadle Hulme.
Cheadle got off to a whirlwind start with 50 off the first seven overs but then Ewan McCray captured a wicket with his first ball to slow the rate down before they were bowled out for 160.
Golborne reached 164-8 in reply, Ian Seddon top scoring with an unbeaten 31 and Gary Woodward adding 20 off one over. Golborne travel to Northern League side Netherfield in the next round.
