SIR: I was really incensed by the true blue Tory Trish Buzzard's extremely selfish attitude over the poll tax.
What sort of house has she to have been a Poll Tax gainer to the tune of £1,600?
Trish Buzzard and her stablemates, those types who criticised myself and the majority over the controversial tax, wanted everything their way without thought for everyone else.
The only way the tax in its original form could have been made fair was to balance the equation by having everyone on the same income whether in work or not. With the Poll Tax, people were paying the same whether they had a house or not.
Trish Buzzard's stating that Margaret Thatcher was a great Tory leaders says it all. Was it correct to decimate industry leading to us have four million our of work? Was it correct to sacrifice 258 lives plus more Argentinian losses in an unnecessary war to boost her ratings?
Was it correct to starve Councils especially Labour ones of funds?
As far as the council tax is concerned, Trish Buzzard will at most be paying only three times more than those in the cheapest of properties.
