BURY are gearing up for party time in their final game of the season at home to Millwall on Saturday week.
"We haven't done it yet," a cautious but happy Hugh Eaves declared. "It was an enormously disciplined performance. We came here to win and we got a point and we fully deserved it," the major shareholder asserted.
"We need another point to be absolutely sure and it would be great to have a party at Gigg Lane on the final day."
Chairman Terry Robinson was equally aware that his side still have a little left to do, but he relishes the prospect of a final day celebration.
"We came for a result and we got one. Now we'll have to go to Watford on Saturday and get a point and make sure we have a great day at our final match."
Manager Stan Ternent, like most managers, was the most cautious of the Shakers' staff: "If and when we get another point then we'll have a celebration, but there will be a few more twists and turns yet."
Ternent acclaimed the travelling support as "fantastic' and also cleared up his decision to substitute Nicky Reid.
"The system just wasn't right for us," he simply explained.
The final word, though, goes to assistant manager Sam Ellis, who summed up the importance of the result: "We've made it a little easier for us, but we've made It damned hard for them!"
