SIR: I am most concerned about the proposed restaurant to be located in the former local health clinic on Chapeltown Road, within the grounds of Turton High School.
I consider that the position is stupid, so near to where the road takes a hidden bend after the Railway Hotel.
There is very little space for car parking, particularly during Adult Class times and, when there are special evenings at the school, we get cars parking half on, half off the pavements, even where there are double yellow lines on Bromley Cross Road and Birtenshaw Crescent.
It seems such a shame that the good building cannot be used for educational purposes when the school needs more space.
