A MONSTER task faces bosses at Salford City Council - they need to find new homes for two retiring dinosaurs!

After encouraging Salford youngsters to tuck into their school dinners for the past four years dinosaurs Lunch and Pudding are taking well-earned retirement.

However the prehistoric pair owned by Salford City Council's Citywide caterers will not be taking it easy - they are looking for a new challenge to help local children.

The twosome are actually person-sized costumes that could help another children's fundraising organisation.

Citywide's Gill Burton, said: "We want the pair of them to go to a good home. We know they'll be well behaved and very useful, so we thought we'd ask if anyone could help."

If anyone has a worthwhile child-related cause and would like to adopt Lunch and Pudding contact Gill Burton at Citywide on 0161 728 4070.
