Walkden schoolchildren made a monster impression during National Spring Clean Week.
St Paul's CE pupils built a little monster during an activity week designed to help them understand the need to look after the environment.
The fearsome creation - made from discarded rubbish - has been on show at Walkden's Ellesmere Centre.
Activities included an environmental mystery game 'Green Man's Secret' at Blackleach Country Park.
Blackleach will be the venue for a huge community clean-up designed to spruce the park up for Summer.
Warden Annie Surtees explained: "The children have used the ideas they picked up to help them devise this huge, monster-like sculpture. They've had great fun and we hope they really get the message to look after the environment."
