A BOLTON singer's burning ambition to perform on television came true recently when he appeared at Granada Studios in Manchester.

Mark Williamson, aged 30, from Arnold Street, Bolton performed his own song titled "Burning" on the famous Baker Street set for "Stuart's Hall of Fame" hosted by Stuart Hall.

The weekly series, broadcast on the Granada Plus Cable and Satellite channel features talented, but still undiscovered entertainers.

Mark, who works as a professional vocalist, has been writing and singing for the last 10 years, wowed the live audience with his music, which he describes as "70s style."

After hearing the demo tape Mark sent in, production staff at the studios immediately invited him to appear on the show.

The next filming takes place on April 26 and budding performers should contact Eamonn O'Neill on 0161 832 7211 for a chance to audition.
