LAST night's final game at Burnden Park brought a host of memories flooding back for one Wanderers fan for whom fun has always been the name of the game.
Clint Jolley, 37, from Horwich, is well known to many Bolton fans and has been responsible for some of the most eccentric demonstrations of devotion to the team over the years.
He is perhaps best loved for his antics while working the scoreboard at Burnden Park.
Wanderers fans used to wait in anticipation for the Manchester United score and Clint would never let them down.
Laughter rang from the terraces when Clint informed fans that United were losing, perhaps not 85-0, but at least 66-0. He said: "I once tried to put three figures up but one of them fell down!"
Other classics from Clint include:
Aged 14 he went to Manchester Airport to greet the team following a pre-season tour of Sweden. He said: "Two of us caught a night bus to the airport thinking that hundreds of fans would turn up.
"But there were only two of us and the players wanted us to come back on the coach with them. But we couldn't because we weren't insured."
Clint phoned GMR in March inviting people to a promotion party at the new ground. The party was on if the Wolves v QPR result was right.
A draw virtually guaranteed promotion and Clint ended up sipping champagne at Middlebrook joined by 250 fans who had heard the radio invite. He said: "People came from Runcorn and Ormskirk. Two lads came in a taxi with plenty of ale!"
He has wangled his way into countless players' lounges including at Wembley. He explained: "Some fans want to visit every ground, I want to bluff my way into every players' lounge."
He would wear a different fancy dress outfit for every game when working as a programme seller to bring a bit of fun back into the game.
His car registration, H1 8WFC, cost £300 about four years ago and his internet address also has a Wanderers theme.
