SIR: IN Clem Atlee's government after the war, Aneurin Bevan was the Health Minister and he made the never to be forgotten statement that the 'Tories were lower than vermin'. I thought it was rather over the top.
Since the advent of that Thatcher woman the arch enemy of the working class that statement is more relevant today then ever.
After 18 years of rule by the most obnoxious set of politicians this country has ever had there are still people in our society (working class Tories) who will still vote for them, people without a conscience who are not interested in a fairer and more equal society.
The sooner the Tories are dumped in the rubbish bin of history the better.
