WIGAN Warriors may be in need of a quick pick-me-up after last week's disappointing defeat by Salford Reds, but Wembley weekend leaves them kicking their heels for a fortnight.
Coach Eric Hughes says the break has come at the wrong time for the Warriors who will only improve with games.
"The defeat was a big blow but the lads, after their initial disappointment, have picked themselves up and the spirit is there.
"We are rebuilding and this is a bedding-in period. We need time to gel and only playing games will do that.
"We are working well in training but the break has come at the wrong time."
Hughes denied that his side needed a new play-maker.
"We have play-makers in Andy Farrell, Tony Smith, Nigel Wright and Craig Murdock, they just need time together," he said.
Henry Paul will be back after injury for the home clash against London Broncos a week on Friday when former Wigan stars Shaun Edwards and Martin Offiah should line up against their old club.
Paul has recovered from a serious back injury sustained on Good Friday against St Helens, which kept him out of the New Zealand Test side last week.
