CHORLEY'S Derian House children's hospice has received a massive boost this week after a huge market on one of the country's most famous streets.
Thousands of bargain hunters flocked to the Magic of Coronation Street tourist attraction in Blackpool, to support the hospice.
The event, in association with the Citizen newspaper, was packed with stalls selling everything under the sun - or studio lighting - along the legendary cobbled street.
And although organisers were delighted, Mavis won't be too happy because the Macmillan cancer fund set up shop on her treasured front lawn!
Chairwoman of the Fylde support group, Leslie Greenslade, who organised the event, said she was delighted with the response from people all over the county."
The fun is set to return this Sunday, April 27, when the market will take to the street again, once again in aid of the hospice.
