ORBIT Developments have named the latest companies to be part of the Wanderers superstadium scheme.

JD Sports, Sports Division, Millhouse Inns, Craftwhorld and American Discount Golf Centre will all be part of the multimillion pound scheme.

It has also been revealed that an Innkeepers Fayre pub will be part of a scheme by Bass Taverns who have bought the three acre site at the entrance to the development for a 74-bedroom Holiday Inn Express together with a rental deal for Bennigans, their Irish-American themed restaurant.

The site which is next to the Wanderers stadium is in what will probably be one of the largest motorway service and hotel facilities in the North West.

And on the 250,000 sq ft Leisure Park one of the main attractions will be Hollywood Bowl, comprising a 26-lane bowling alley with a mini brewery, amusements, virtual reality and restaurant area.

A 329,000 sq ft retail warehouse park will include Asda Food Superstore, a petrol station, Scottish Power, Pets at Home and Kingsbury Interiors.

The remaining units are all under offer and the final phase of 110,000 sq ft is due to commence shortly.

Victoria Broadbent of Orbit Developments said: "This 1.3 million square feet scheme offers facilities to rival any in the North West. The combination of retail, leisure, stadia and sports facilities on one site is a very exciting project demonstrated by the level of interest from both the leisure and retail market.

"The Leisure Park facilities are unique, offering a quality tenant mix of leisure, sports and restaurant uses which will complement the adjacent stadium and retail park and draw from a wide catchment area."

The scheme also offers a Sports Academy centre with eight indoor synthetic multi-use five-a-side and seven-a-side pitches sponsored by by the Lawn Tennis Association.

There will also be a multi-marque autopark, 35 acre business and industrial park, and 14 acres of residential development will be carried out on the site in future phases.
