SIR: am very pleased to find that I can now keep in touch with my home town through the excellent BEN web site.
I would never say so to an American, but my time as a boy delivering your newspaper always comes to mind when I compare life in the USA to that in the UK. In the USA, the paper boy slings the newspaper somewhere on the property. He gets more newspapers delivered that way. They are just not delivered very well.
To be fair, I shouldn't be too hard on Americans. They think my Bolton accent is cultured.
Thank-you for your efforts, and keep it up.
