FED-UP Wayne Stillwell claims cable workers have turned his Heaton estate into an "eyesore".
Mr Stillwell says the Nynex gang has "ruined" his driveway and footpath outside his home and he and his neighbours are demanding action to put it right.
After talks with 24-year-old Mr Stillwell, Nynex have agreed to tidy up and admitted their workmen could have done better.
Mr Stillwell, of Grizedale Close, said: "Nynex agreed that the work was sub-standard. We shouldn't have to put up with this.
"The tarmac is disgraceful and the grass verges have all been dug up and put back wrong. The whole estate looks a complete mess."
A spokesman for Nynex said: "We are aware of M?r Stillwell's concerns and have confirmed that we are not happy with the present appearance of the reinstatement.
"We have instructed our contractors to undertake further works to recify the problem.
"Unfortunately we are not in a position to act on Mr Stillwell's request to reinstate the full width of the driveway access which is public highway land."
Nynex denied Mr Stillwell's claim that residents all over Bolton are fed-up with untidy workmanship by Nynex contractors.
The spokesman added:"Nynex and our contractors are working within the public highway under the same regulations and actions as all statutory utilities."
