Wanderers may have to go into Sunday's double century bid without top scorer John McGinlay.

The 29-goal Bolton star is under daily treatment on a thigh injury and may miss the season's final game at Tranmere.

McGinlay needed a late fitness test before playing in Friday's final home game against Charlton and admits he was struggling for most of the second half before crowning a 4-1 win with the last two goals scored at Burnden Park.

"It looks like I'll need another late test on Sunday," McGinlay confirmed.

"The extra day's treatment should help but it's touch and go.

"I was worried the boss might take me off in the second half the other night but I'm glad he didn't. It can't have done the injury any good staying on but if that turns out to be my last game of the season, I won't mind."

Wanderers have sold their full 5,500 ticket allocation for the Prenton Park game, where a win and two goals would make them the first club in the history of league football to do the "double".

Officials of Norwegian club SK Brann insist they have "ongoing dialogue" with Wanderers on a deal that could bring international striker Tore-Andre Flo to Bolton, despite Todd having cooled considerably in his interest.

Brann president Lars Berge claims his club has rejected a £2 million Bolton bid.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest are also reportedly interested in the striker who almost joined Everton in March.

Brann, beaten by Liverpool in the quarter-finals of the European Cup Winners' Cup, had set today as the deadline for Flo to accept the terms of a new contract.
